JOHN DAY – People can buy books, tapes and audio books at the Grant County Library’s used book sale during the Grant County Fair, Aug. 24-28.

The sale will be set up outside the Bookmobile, which will be parked near Trowbridge Pavilion on the Grant County Fairgrounds in John Day.

A variety of books will be available, including paperback romances, mysteries, westerns, travel guides, popular works and more. Prices begin at 25 cents for paperbacks and $1 for hardbacks, with grab bags of genre books available for $2 and up.

Volunteers will staff the sale, and also offer information about the library’s services and the bookmobile, which travels to outlying communities on Wednesday mornings during the school year.

Proceeds from the sale will help the library expand its collection.
