PRAIRIE CITY – The Jennifer Pickle Studio opened in the Historic Hotel Prairie on Front Street in June.
Certified massage therapist Jennifer Pickle offers services including relaxation work, deep tissue massage, corrective work and maintenance of the latter, for both women and men.
She also is certified to do perinatal and prenatal massage, as well as infant massage.
Private classes and couples massages are also available.
The cozy studio’s gentle floral decor and soft lighting offer an aura of welcome. An adjoining bathroom and shower provide added privacy and comfort.
Pickle offers packages as well as gift certificates. Her services are ideal not only for travelers who stay in the hotel, but for locals too, and she even offers a discount for Grant County residents.
“I’m eager for the community to know I’m here,” Pickle said.
Prospective clients can also call ahead for insurance billing information.
Pickle has been a licensed massage therapist since 1997. She said she’s offered massages over the past few years while also raising her young family, but is now ready to run a business.
“I’ve got experience. I’ve been doing this for 15 years,” Pickle said.
She hopes to add spa services next year.
Pickle said she loves helping people and especially helping them get out of pain.
“It’s a time when you can just step out of your world for awhile,” she said.
Pickle’s hours are on an on-call basis from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. every day, including weekends. She said she’s able to be very flexible and if someone calls in the morning, she can generally fit them in later that day.
