Quilting bee buzzes with service

Four quilts were completed at a recent quilting bee held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in John Day. The comforters will be taken to a humanitarian center in Boise, Idaho, and distributed to areas experiencing disasters throughout the world. Other quilters are invited to join the group on the third Tuesday of each month, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
