Kids parade to applause in JD

JOHN DAY – The KJDY & Dairy Queen Kids Day Parade Aug. 26 had dozens of entries this year, with kids riding ponies, bikes and trikes, decked out in costumes or face paints. The parade was a success and ended with treats at Dairy Queen.
Parade results:
Costumed individual
Preschool: 1st, Betty Ann Wilson; 2nd, Trystan “Popeye” and Cayson “Daniel Boone.”
Grades 1-3: 1st, Quinn Larson; 2nd, Jack Strong.
Costumed group
1st, Hansen and Holley kids “The Three Amigos;” 2nd, Hodge, Hansen, Israel and more “Wild West Hair Co. Happy Face Kids;” 3rd, Daycare Kids.
Decorated vehicles
1st, Cody Bowden; 2nd, Sheedy family.
Float
1st, Harli Gardner, Fletcher Grove and Orrin Rosebrook; 2nd, Charley and Jack Knowles, Clyde and Silvie Holliday; 3rd, Kai Jackle.
