Patricia Louise “Pat” Siegrist, 75, died Nov. 8, 2011, at her Prairie City home. At her request, no services will be held.

Mrs. Siegrist was born Oct. 28, 1936, in Burns, to Ralph and Della (Dunn) Van Leuven. She graduated from high school in Union. She worked as a certified nursing assistant and medical aide at Blue Mountain Nursing Home for 34 years.
On Sept. 25, 1954, she married Quentin Lee Siegrist in Baker City.
She loved her dogs, and leaves behind her beloved dog, Penny. She was known for her great sense of humor, and loved playing Yahtzee with her friend Penny Sheets.

Her interests included bowling, snowmobiling, the Oregon coast and eating seafood. She set up the first neighborhood watch program in Hermiston. She was compassionate toward senior citizens, and was loved by many.
Survivors include her son, Lee (Beverly) Siegrist of Sedro Woolley, Wash.; daughters, Cindy Siegrist of Hermiston and Melody Siegrist of Staten Island, N.Y.; sisters, Iva (Ken) Speelman and Diane (Gary) Wright, all of Prairie City; brother, Duane (Sherry) Van Leuven of Elgin; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Quentin, in 1987.
