JOHN DAY – Trout Farm Campground, south of Prairie City, is closed for the season.

Malheur National Forest officials announced the closure early this week.

Strawberry Campground also closed recently.

Seasonal recreation facilities and campgrounds on the forest will reopen in the spring, depending on snow levels and road conditions.
