Two male students put their legs on the line when they said they would suffer through a leg waxing if the Grant Union Junior-Senior High student body brought in at least 700 pounds of goods for a food drive at the school. Students delivered, surpassing the goal by 40 pounds, and the two seniors, Tyler Stoneman and Dan Cossey, followed through with their promise having their legs waxed professionally by Nicole Israel of Wild West Hair Company at a Dec. 14 assembly. Students were also entertained by teacher Sonna Smith’s science class as they performed a “Boot Scoot Boogie” line dance. The food was given to the Department of Human Services to be distributed in a Christmas basket project.
