Soup Kitchen cooks at Dodgeball

Spectators cheered and dodged flying balls at the second annual John Day/Canyon City Parks and Recreation Dodgeball Tournament on March 10.
Winning team was The Soup Kitchen, made up of Grant Union High School athletes.
Seven teams competed in the fund-raiser for parks and recreation scholarships.
Chosen as best team name was the Buck Dodgers. Best uniformed were the Schlegger Fleggers.
Parks and Recreation program director Kim Ward is appreciative of the turnout, and for use of the Grant Union Junior-Senior High School gym.
