JOHN DAY The Grant County Economic Council is preparing publication of the 2012 Grant County Visitors Map.
An estimated 5,000 maps will be distributed through Grant County motels, restaurants, museums and government offices and at state Welcome Centers including Ashland, Ontario, Umatilla, and Multnomah Falls.
The map features a relief map of Grant County and a guide to key attractions such as museums, lakes and parks. The map, the same size as the official state highway map, includes important website information and GPS coordinates for various locations in Grant County.
First published last year, the map once again will feature a user-friendly service directory to guide visitors and guests to local businesses and organizations. The listings cost $50 per entry, and half of the available slots have already been reserved.
Businesses can get more information or reserve their spot on Grant Countys official visitor map by calling Les Zaitz at 541-421-3031. Deadline is April 15.
