Pros break the ice

JOHN DAY The Prospectors played ball well in their home Les Schwab Ice Breaker Invitational last weekend.
To start the series Friday, March 23, the Grant Union High School boys took a 7-7 draw in nine innings with the Madras White Buffalos.
The 4A Crook County Cowboys rode over the Pros. They amassed 10 runs, leaving the Prospectors runless when the game was called after five innings.
Grant Union came back to do well Saturday, March 24, taking a 9-5 win over 4A Estacada.
The Prospectors headed on the road to play doubleheaders with Estacada and Horizon Christian on Monday, March 26, and at 3A Colton Tuesday, March 27.
