JOHN DAY Kids came by the dozens to decorate Easter eggs at the John Day Fire Station April 6.
The 1,200-plus eggs will be used at the department’s annual egg hunt at the Grant Union Junior-Senior High School football field starting at noon, Saturday, April 7. Prizes will also be awarded during the event.
Other egg hunts scheduled for Saturday include:
Dayville City Park, 10 a.m. Children will be split into four divisions, toddler, preschool, grades 1-3, and grades 4-6, with fun and prizes for all.
Seventh Street Complex, John Day, 11 a.m. There will be prizes in every age group, plus the Easter Bunny on hand for photos. Sponsored by the John Day Elks Lodge.
