BAKER CITY Denise Myra Palmer, 55, of Baker City, died April 4 at home.
A funeral service will be at noon, Monday, April 16, at Grays West & Company Pioneer Chapel in Baker City. Pastor Jonathan Privett of the First Church of the Nazarene will officiate. A reception will follow at David Palmers home.
Mrs. Palmer was born Oct. 18, 1956, in Oakland, Calif., to John E. and Dorothy (Hubbartt) Cozad. In 1974, she graduated from Fremont High School in Oakland. She worked as an archaeological technician for the U.S. Forest Service.
On April 3, 1992, she married David Palmer in John Day. She was good at making a house a home, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She was a great fisherman, who enjoyed hiking, writing, drawing and sketching trains.
Survivors include her husband, David of Baker City, and her sister, Anastasia Sandow of Eugene.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
