PRAIRIE CITY – Hannah Piehl, 3, of John Day, seems to be handling her pole just fine on her own, as her father, Robbie, looks on. The dad and daughter, and mom Naomi, enjoyed Kids Free Fishing Day, June 2, at McHaley Pond east of Prairie City. The annual event is sponsored by the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, and the U.S. Forest Service.
