There was plenty of fun for everyone at Canyon City’s 90th annual ’62 Days celebration where the theme was “Gold Fever 1862.” The June 8-9 event celebrated the 150th anniversary since the discovery of Gold in Whiskey Gulch and included a Fast Draw shooting competition, a melodrama featuring Grant Union Junior-Senior High students, a real-looking hanging re-enactment, a pie-eating contest, a parade and more.
