JOHN DAY Oregon Telephone Corporation has opened a branch office, OTC Connections in John Day, that also offers business services and supplies.

The outlet features a public conference room equipped with audio-visual and conference calling equipment; copy, scan, fax and email services; and an office supply and computer sales area.

People can also check out demonstrations of Oregon Telephones internet services and speed offerings, and even pay their bill there too.

The office also has sitting areas, with comfortable couches and armchairs, for people who want to use Wi-fi there. The rate is $5 for two hours, and $2 for each additional hour.

Other services include computer repair and technical support.

The new office, located at 115 W. Main St., is open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday. Oregon Telephones main office in Mt. Vernon is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

A grand opening for OTC Connections, was held Aug. 9, with a ribbon cutting, refreshments, drawings and prizes, and tours of the office.
