Yvonne Annitte Smith

Yvonne Annitte Smith, 65, died Nov. 17 in Prairie City. No services are planned at this time.

Mrs. Smith was born March 27, 1947, in Hood River, to Richard and Joann (Fink) Smith. She attended school in Bates, Austin, Prairie City and Condon, and an all-girls Catholic school in Lake Oswego.

On May 31, 1975, she married Ronald Smith Sr. in Las Vegas. They moved from California to Prairie City in 1977. Among the places where she worked were LDs Market and The Branding Iron in Prairie City, where she cooked and managed the restaurant.

Her hobbies included going to the mountains, camping, hunting, fishing and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Ron Smith Sr. of Prairie City; sons Dennis Smith, Scott (Shelly) Smith of Palmdale, Calif., Matt Elwood of Marsing, Idaho, and Ronald (Christy) Smith II of Spring Creek, Nev.; daughter Joanna (Jerry) Butler of Prairie City; sisters, Aletha (Tom) Pfeifer of Prairie City and Lilly (Bob) Gorman of Puyallup, Wash.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Winnie Smith; sisters, Gail and April Smith; and son, Asa Smith.
