David Glenn Bremner, 72, of John Day, died May 26 at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend. No services are pending at this time.
Mr. Bremner was born Sept. 7, 1940, in Republic, Wash., to Karl K. and Flora Ward Bremner. The family moved to John Day when he was a baby.
After graduation from Grant Union High School, he worked at SM Motor Company in John Day. He later moved to Portland where he pursued a career in truck driving. He drove locally, cross country and as an owner/operator.
In 1981, he met and married Rita Olsen. After he ended his driving career, the couple bought and managed an RV park in Rockaway Beach.
In 2002, they moved to John Day. He was a member of John Day Elks Lodge No. 1824.
Throughout his life, he made many friends with whom he loved to keep in touch, including his classmates from Grant Union.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Rita; brother, Karl Kenneth Bremner Jr.; children, David G. Bremner Jr., of Oregon City, Sherry Griffith of Prineville, Michelle Mann of Red Lodge, Mont., and Maureen Hightower of Kalispell, Mont.; nephews, Greg and John Bremner of Canyon City; niece, Terri Burke of Bates; several grandchildren; and four stepchildren.
