CANYON CITY Junior sleuths and those with eagle eyes can test their skills at the sixth annual Scavenger Hunt and Barbecue, 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, at Sproul Park in Canyon City.

The event is for junior and senior high students, who will be in teams of two this year. Registration starts at 3:45 p.m., and all teams must register in advance. Students should bring a camera or camera phone to participate.

Prizes are: First-place, iPod; second-place, iTunes gift card; and third-place, Subway gift card.

A barbecue dinner will follow.
