Students may apply for Seneca Logger scholarships

SENECA Graduating seniors at Grant Union Junior-Senior High School may now apply for the Seneca Logger Memorial Scholarship.

Since 2003, the scholarship has been open to Seneca School eighth-graders. With Seneca seventh- and eighth-grade students now attending school in John Day, the scholarship has been added to the list of those available at Grant Union.

Interested applicants must be Grant Union seniors who have a minimum 3.50 GPA, and previously attended Seneca School for at least two full years. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded each academic year.

Completed applications and a 750-word essay must be submitted by Friday, Jan. 31.

The scholarship is offered by The Seneca School Foundation.
