VALE The Bureau of Land Management is scheduling public meetings in January to take input on the draft environmental impact statement for sage grouse management.

The draft includes six alternatives for maintaining and increasing habitat for greater sage grouse on BLM-administered lands.

All meetings are from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The meeting schedule includes:

Wednesday, Jan. 8 Four Rivers Cultural Center, Ontario.

Wednesday, Jan. 22 Lions Hall, Jordan Valley.

Two other meetings will focus on the draft and on a supplemental environmental impact statement for the Baker Resource Area:

Thursday, Jan. 9 Baker County Events Center, Baker City.

Thursday, Jan. 23 Durkee School, Durkee.
