Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 33-year-old Bandon man Monday night after he allegedly tried to run over a teenager with his car.

According to the Coos County Sheriff’s Office, Tyler Takahashi attempted to run down a 15-year-old boy who had been standing in a driveway with Takahashi’s ex-girlfriend in the 47400 block of U.S. Highway 101.

The boy wasn’t injured, and Takahashi was arrested after a traffic stop by Bandon police and taken to the Coos County Jail.
