Update: The Tualatin Bridge has been repaired on I-205. The repairs caused delays on the busy road earlier Tuesday.
A joint malfunction on the Tualatin River Bridge is causing delays on Interstate 205 in the southbound direction. The Oregon Department of Transportation says the section that’s used to connect two panels of roadway has failed.

Don Hamilton is with ODOT. He says the left lane and a portion of the right lane of I-205 will be closed, maybe into the afternoon commute.
“Most important thing motorists can do right now is be patient, expect delays in the area, and if you can all find an alternate route that may be a good idea, too.”
ODOT crews are on the scene and devising a repair plan, but there is no timetable for re-opening the lanes. No injuries have been reported related to the problem.
