Harris A house owned by Fritz Hill sits at the edge pit created while the Department of Environmental Quality cleans up the remains of a 5000-gallon diesel fuel spill on Monday outside of Pendleton. The spill happened on March 1 when a transport vehicle lost it’s load of diesel fuel over the side of an embankment off of Highway 37 north of Pendleton.
