Re-live history during spring break

BAKER CITY Families can re-live history during spring break week at the National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center.
Trail Tenders is sponsoring the event, which includes tasks and activities typical of pioneers preparing for their journey on the Oregon Trail.
Heres the schedule for each day:
Monday, March 24: 10:30 a.m., make rag and handkerchief dolls; 1 p.m., sew a pouch, pick out seeds and learning pioneer gardening techniques. The cost is $5 per activity.
Tuesday, March 25: Pioneer Family Package Deal 10:30 a.m., make hardtack; noon, pioneer Dutch oven lunch of bison stew, fruit cobbler, biscuits and lemonade; and 1 p.m., dip candles.
Wednesday, March 26: Pioneer Family Package Deal 10:30 a.m., journal making; noon, pioneer Dutch oven lunch of chicken and dumplings, apple crisp and lemonade; and 1 p.m., carve a quill and make ink.
The cost for each family package deal is $35, for two adults, 16 and older, and two children, 15 and under, which covers entrance fees and the activities.
Thursday, March 27: 10:30 a.m., make a tin lantern; 1 p.m., A Pioneer Apothecary: Herbs as Medicine, and make a paper pouch. The cost is $5 per activity.
The interactive childrens exhibit, Wagons Ho! is open daily throughout the month.
