MT. VERNON – Cinnabar Mountain Playdays kids were back in action May 11 with their first event of the season.

The Burton Arena in Mt. Vernon drew 31 participants age 2-17 to compete in pole bending, figure eight, dummy roping, flag race, barrel racing and goat tying.

There will be five more Playdays this season, the next one set for Sunday, June 1, at Burton Arena. Registration starts at 9 a.m. with rodeo beginning at 10 a.m.
