PRAIRIE CITY – Cars of many colors and vintages wheeled into Prairie City last Saturday for the Grant County Kruzers car show.

Participants came from throughout Grant County and beyond, some traveling from Baker City, La Grande, Fossil, Burns and even Burbank, Wash.

Two couples from Newberg tied for “farthest traveled” – Gale and Linda Miller, and Ken and Leslie Carsley. Their prize was an appropriate one – gas gift cards from the John Day Shell station.

Organizers said it was a good turnout, with 51 entrants this year – 11 from the Kruzers club.

This was the 19th year for the popular event, held annually in Prairie City the first Saturday in August.
