JOSEPH – The Dayville/Monument Tiger football team ended the season on a high note, defeating Joseph 70-28 last Friday.
It was the last game of the regular season for both teams.
“We played really well in the game,” said head coach Nathaniel Ashley. “We were only able to dress down eight guys so everyone played the whole game.”
Jeremy Hand passed for 115 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed for 250 yards and one touchdown and a two-point conversion. Hand also had an onside kick recovery.
Sage Flower rushed for 50 yards and two touchdowns and a 2-point conversion, and had 55 yards receiving.
Tanner Walczyk rushed for 70 yards, with two touchdowns and two 2-point conversions, and had 25 yards receiving. He also recovered a fumble.
Brody Breck had 50 yards rushing and 15 yards receiving, for two touchdowns.
Garrett Warner had 20 yards receiving, with a touchdown and an onside kick recovery.
Cody Kluser had a fumble recovery.
“Everyone was really happy with the game,” the coach said. “It was a good way to end the season, especially for the seniors.”
