Well inspector named for JD basin

PENDLETON – Erik Thomasser has been hired as the new well inspector in the Pendleton office of the Oregon Water Resources Department for the Umatilla, John Day, and Hood River basins.
He began the job Nov. 3.
Thomasser has a degree in geological sciences from the University of Oregon, and has worked in precious and base metal exploration in Nevada. He has overseen exploration and monitored well drilling operations in multiple geologic settings throughout various project areas in the West, and also has been a research assistant in the UO Department of Geological Sciences.
