Young shootists compete for fun June 13

PRAIRIE CITY – A Youth .22 Silhouette Shoot is set for 9 a.m.-noon on June 13 at the Bear Creek Shooting Range.

The competition is for fun, and there will be a small prize for the top shooters.

Youth 18 and under are invited to attend, and must be accompanied by an adult.

Shooters should bring a .22 and ammunition, and a limited supply of ammunition will be furnished.

Two additional silhouette shoots are scheduled for July 25 and Aug. 22.

The event is sponsored by the Bear Creek Shooting Range and the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.
