APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. – Duane Walter Kessinger, 66, died Nov. 12 in Apache Junction, Ariz.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 27, at Canyon City Cemetery.
Mr. Kessinger was born Sept. 1, 1948, to Walter I. Kessinger and Ruth Giles Kessinger in Burns.
He served in the U.S. Army, and was a Vietnam veteran. He was a diesel mechanic and skilled woodworker, who made intricately designed boxes, pens and cutting boards.
Survivors include two sisters, Dr. Dorothy K. Anderson of New Orleans and Judy R. Compton of Vancouver, Wash.; his former wife, Elizabeth Kessinger; Karen (Tyler) Kessinger-Rhead of Seattle, Steve (Melissu) Kessinger of Spokane, Wash., and Boni K. Bennett of Kuna, Idaho; daughter, Shaunna Chapman of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren, Amanda, Courtland and Jacob Kessinger, Andrew Christensen, Rhiannon Bennett, Keyrn Aponte, and Connor and Riley Rhead; great-granddaughter, Valentine; nephew, Christopher Compton; and numerous cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Thomas E. McCullough; and grandson, Jayden Bennett.
