The Oregon Department of Transportation has closed Highway 395 south of John Day between mileposts 10 and 25, at Seneca, due to wildfire activity.

The wildfire, which broke out late afternoon, Aug. 13, is currently burning on the east side of the highway, near the Starr Ridge area.

Motorists need to use alternate routes around the area.
