Dorman and Phyllis Gregory

Dorman and Phyllis Gregory of Canyon City will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with their children at a refreshments reception at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Canyon City Community Hall.

The couple were married Sept. 18, 1965, in Nehalem, and have three children, Gina, Todd and Kari.

The Gregorys have lived in Canyon City for 45 years, where Dorman has given many years of public service including a term as a city councilor, and two stints as the town’s mayor.

He is retired from the Forest Service and Phyllis from working as a secretary for the former junior high school in John Day.
