Teresa Lee ‘Terry’ Armstrong Dec. 23, 1960 – Sept. 9, 2015

BAKER CITY – Teresa Lee “Terry” Armstrong, 54, formerly of Prairie City, died Sept. 9 at her Baker City home. A memorial service is planned for Thursday, Sept. 17, at the Apostolic Lighthouse Church, 2085 7th St., Baker City, with Pastor Nate Neff officiating.
Mrs. Armstrong was born Dec. 23, 1960, in San Francisco, to Harry Theodore and Verna Lee (Kirkwood) Barnhart. While she was young, the family moved to Prairie City, where she attended high school.
In 1977, she married Chip Wood. They divorced in 1983.
She worked for eight years at Safeway in Baker City, where she was a shift manager.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and shooting and fishing, when she had time. She also liked playing Words with Friends, and hanging out with her friends and horse, Sugar.
She was a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Baker City, and was baptized on Aug. 29.
She loved her grandchildren, Justice, Hope, Bailey, Paige and Hunter, and cherished any time she could spend with them and her three children.
Survivors include her daughter, Desiree Johnson of Wahiawa, Hawaii; sons, Trace Wood of Bend and Derek Latray of Deer Lodge, Mont.; brothers, Mitch Barnhart of Baker City and Ted Barnhart of Cody, Wyo.; and her five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
