The local Seventh-day Adventist congregation plans to erect a new church to replace the existing one, which was constructed in 1896.
The Long Creek Historical Society would like to save the building and have it moved four blocks away to its Fort Townsend site. Historical Society members say, while it is small, it’s in good shape and would serve the group’s needs as a long-awaited museum for housing artifacts.
The community is welcome to attend and offer input. Long Creek City Hall is located at 250 Hardisty St. For more information, call City Hall at 541-421-3601.
