JOHN DAY — An open house regarding plans for the Ragged Ruby Project will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, at Grant County Regional Airport in John Day.

The planning area is on County Road 20 within the Balance Creek and Granite Boulder Creek sub-watersheds, and includes part of the Vinegar Hill-Indian Rock Scenic Area to the north and Dixie Butte to the south.

The Ragged Ruby interdisciplinary team welcomes public input on the project.

The goal of the meeting is to share what is known about the existing condition of the planning area and solicit input and feedback, and identify challenges and enhancements to key benefits and capture concepts for landscape restoration options and clarify important values.
