Barbara Elaine Raymond

Barbara Elaine (Krebs) Raymond, 87, died May 21 in John Day. A public memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at the John Day Elks Lodge, 140 N.E. Dayton St.

Raymond was born Nov. 22, 1928, in Murray, Utah, to William George and Norma (Poulter) Krebs.

In 1946, she married Byron Davis. He died in 1986.

In July 1988, she married Arthur Raymond in Reno, Nevada.

She worked in restaurant and apartment management. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting and baking. In her earlier years, she enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Her favorite times were with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur Raymond; son, Tom (Susan) Davis; daughters, Lynda (Terry) Farrell and Laura (Robert) Hire; sister, Sharon Skinner; brother, Kenneth Krebs; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Geraldene Petzold, Evelyn Fuller and Norma Stratton; and brother, Johnny Krebs.
