Several local competitors took part in the June 18 Grant County Stockgrowers Ranch Rodeo, held at the Grant County Fairgrounds in John Day.

Chad Finley of Mt. Vernon was the high-dollar winner, taking home a belt buckle, donated by Source 1 Livestock Supply, and the second high-dollar winner was Ryan Kimball of Redmond.

Finley’s horse Mac won the Top Horse headstall, which was donated by IZ Ranch.

This was the Stockgrowers Association’s first ranch rodeo, and they hope to make it an annual event.
