Griffin sentenced to 35 months in prison

Michael Shane Griffin was sentenced to almost three years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple property crimes.

Griffin, 40, pleaded guilty Oct. 17 to a string of crimes committed July 22-26 in Grant County: a felony second-degree burglary charge and five misdemeanors, four counts of second-degree theft and one count of second-degree criminal trespass.

For the felony, Griffin was sentenced to 35 months in prison and one year of post-prison supervision, and he was required to pay $318.30 in restitution, according to Grant County Circuit Court documents. For each of the misdemeanors, he was sentenced to between 30 days and five months in jail to be served concurrently.

Several other charges were dismissed.
