Fern June Turner passed away Thursday, Feb. 9. She was born Jan. 31, 1921, to William F. Woodcock and Ivy L. Wise Woodcock. On July 18, 1938, she married Ellis E. Turner. She loved her yard, enjoying gardening, flowers and canning.

Turner was preceded in death by her husband, a sister and one great-grandson. She is survived by her sister, Illa Wilson; children, Duane Turner and Phyllis A. Turner; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; great-great-great grandchildren; great-great-great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Donations can be made to Blue Mountain Hospice. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, at the Canyon City Cemetery, with a reception to follow at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in John Day.
