Kevin Brown

After pleading guilty to one count of third-degree rape and one count of third-degree sodomy, Kevin Brown, 27, John Day, was sentenced to 200 days in jail, five years of probation and 160 hours of community service.

Brown was fined $1,000. He must also pay the costs of psychological treatment or other counseling services provided for the victim and the victim’s family.

Brown was ordered to register as a sex offender. He may not possess or access any type of pornographic media, not be involved in organizations that place him in direct contact with children or visit places that exist primarily for the enjoyment of children.

Brown admitted to unlawfully and knowingly engaging in sexual intercourse and deviate sexual intercourse with a child younger than 16 on or about March 16, 2016.

Both charges are class C felonies and stem from a single victim. Twelve other charges against Brown were dismissed.
