Grant deadlines approaching

Fall application deadlines are coming up for a variety of different grants.
Juniper Arts Council Community Grants will open Sept. 14. The deadline is Nov. 2. Contact Karin Barntish at 541-575-2721 or Kris Beal at 541-932-4892 for more information.
The Schwemm Family Foundation, which focuses on environment, history and healthy lifestyles, has grant applications due Aug. 31. The maximum grant is about $8,000. Apply at schwemmfoundation.org.
The Oregon Community Foundation Small Arts and Culture Grant, which provides one-year operating support grants of $1,000-$5,000 for arts and cultural organizations with operating budgets less than $100,000, application is due Sept. 1. Apply at oregoncf.org/grants-scholarships/grants/ocf-funds/small-arts-and-culture.
The Collins Foundation, which provides general purpose grants to Oregon nonprofits working for the common good, including arts and humanities, children and youth, community welfare, education, environment, health and science, religion and capital projects, has a grant deadline Sept. 15. Grants range from $5,000-$750,000 (multi-year). Apply at collinsfoundation.org/submission-guidelines.
Foundation For Rural Service grants for rural communities in the areas of business development, community development, education and telecommunications are due Sept. 15. Awards range from $250-$5,000. Apply at frs.org/rural-community-outreach/grant-program.
The Umpqua Bank Charitable Foundation, which focuses on youth development, education and economic opportunity in communities served by a branch of Umpqua Bank, has a grant deadline Sept. 30. Grants range from $2,500-$10,000. Apply at umpquabank.com/umpqua-life/community-giving.
Due Oct. 1, Northwest Professional Educators provides grants up to $500 for classroom projects, materials and supplies, software, technology, books and teacher scholarships for conferences, workshops, tuition and books. Apply at nwpe.org/index.php/member-benefits/scholarships-and-grants.
Target Field Trip Grant applications are due Oct. 1. Grants up to $700 for school field trips are awarded. Apply at corporate.target.com/corporate-responsibility/grants/field-trip-grants.
