- Greenhorn City, located in Grant County, was a booming and enterprising town in 1905. Today, there remains only the shells of the buildings that once formed the town. The old Greenhorn jail housed only one inhabitant of Greenhorn City, its builder. In 1905, over 2,500 people received their mail at the Greenhorn Post Office, and nine different mill whistles could be heard in the lofty city. The Grant-Baker county line bisected the town through its main street.
