Local students make Oregon State honor roll

Three local students qualified for Oregon State University’s winter term honor roll.

Jennifer McCloskey, a junior from John Day studying applied visual arts, earned a straight-A average. Michel Sprouffske, a junior from Prairie City studying hospitality management, earned a 3.5 GPA or better. Joshua Walker, a junior from Seneca studying natural resources, earned a 3.5 GPA or better.

A total of 1,398 students earned straight-A (4.0). Another 4,609 earned a B-plus (3.5) or better to make the listing. To be on the honor roll, students must carry at least 12 graded hours of course work.
