Court postpones natural resource adviser discussion

At the Grant County Court’s April 25 meeting, Commissioner Jim Hamsher requested that a discussion about establishing a natural resource adviser position for the count court be postponed.

In other court news:

• Troy Cox and Jim Jacobs were appointed to vacant positions on the Grant County Extension/4-H Advisory Council through the end of 2018.

• The court approved a request by Veteran Services Officer Katee Hoffman to spend $3,469 on a billboard advertisement promoting the office. The court wanted her to spend down part of her budget.

• The court approved supporting an application for a U.S. Department of Agriculture Community Connect grant that will be used by the Grant County Digital Network Coalition to increase broadband internet access in the county.
