Country Music Jamboree planned in Burns

The High Desert Fiddlers will present the 28th annual Country Music Jamboree June 14-16 at the Harney County Fairgrounds in Burns.
Featuring traditional old-time music, fiddle tunes, blues, folk, bluegrass and country, daily shows are scheduled at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Memorial Building of the fairgrounds, with both formal and spontaneous jams occurring at any time during the event in various places around the fairgrounds. Workshops are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. each morning. On Friday at 7 p.m., dance bands perform.
Special youth fiddle workshops will occur on Friday and Saturday, June 15 and 16, instructed by Stacey DeFord, a fiddler from Nevada, for beginners and intermediate level youth between 8-18 years old.
