Israel crowned 2019 Junior Miss Rodeo Oregon

Rowdy Israel of Dayville carries the flag in the Dayville Fourth of July Parade. Israel, who is running for the title of Junior Miss Rodeo Oregon, earned the first-place ribbon in the Horse Division.

Rowdy Israel was crowned 2019 Junior Miss Rodeo Oregon.

The 12-year-old from Dayville earned the honor July 14 at the conclusion of the two-day pageant held in conjunction with the Philomath Frolic and Rodeo.

In addition to winning the state title, she won the categories of Horsemanship, Photogenics and Appearance.

Israel will spend 2019 representing Miss Rodeo Oregon, Inc., by making public appearances, riding in parades and at rodeos and promoting the rodeo and western industries.

In 2017, she served as Little Miss Northwest Professional Rodeo Association.

The daughter of Nicole Israel, she will be in seventh grade at Dayville School in the fall and is active in volleyball, basketball and the Cinnabar Mountain Playdays rodeo series.

She will hold a fundraising coronation event on March 2, 2019, in John Day.
