Zella P. Arment Fleury Street

Zella P. Arment Fleury Street, 84, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, in Hines, Oregon. Zella was born Feb. 11, 1934, in Gordon, Nebraska, to Orin Arment and Esther (Madison) Arment. Later in life she moved to Payette, Idaho. Then she moved to Seneca, Oregon, where she met Glen Fleury; they had six children.

After leaving Seneca, Zella met and married her second husband, James (Willard) Street. They moved to Roseburg, Oregon, until Willard’s death in 2007.

In 2009, Zella moved to Burns, where she had lived out at Aspen for the last few years, which she called home. She met several wonderful people she called friends. Zella enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, canning fruits and vegetables and gardening; she always had a beautiful rose garden. She also enjoyed playing bingo, card games, puzzle books, crosswords and collecting frogs.

Zella is survived by five children, daughters Rose Delap (Chris), Carrie Burgess (Smokey) and Glena Whiteaker and sons Danny Fleury (Jeannie) and Dean Fleury; her brother Joe Arment; grandchildren Sherry, Sabrina, Traci, Tommy, Ashley, Andrea, Rachel, Cristina, Tim, Chad, Shannon, Janda, Casey, Trisha, Stephen, Hailey and Felisha; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Zella was preceded in death by her parents, Orin and Esther Arment; brother John Arment; husband, James (Willard) Street; daughter Cathy Ebarb; grandson Glen Long; and son-in-law Doug Whiteaker.

At Zella’s request, she will be cremated, and a family and friends gathering will be held at a later date. LaFollette’s Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
