The Carrie Young Memorial Dinner and Auction will take place at the John Day Elks Lodge on Dec. 7 starting at 5 p.m.

The annual event raises money to pay for groceries and heating for seniors across Grant County.

About 290 decorated gift baskets are available by silent auction, and a Ruger American Predator rifle with seven calibers to choose from will be sold be raffle, along with four cords of firewood.
