Grant County schedules vaccination clinics

JOHN DAY — The Grant County Health Department has scheduled a number of vaccination clinics around the area over the next several weeks.

Most of the clinics will offer flu and COVID-19 shots, as well as school-required immunizations. One clinic at an area senior center will offer COVID and flu shots only, and another at a local school will be for flu and school immunizations only.
The department will bill insurance plans for the cost of the shots, according to the health department. In some cases, assistance programs are available for those without insurance.
Vaccinations will be offered at the following times and locations:

• 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, Monument Senior Center: flu, school-required and COVID.
• 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, Prairie City School: flu and school-required.
• 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, Prairie City Senior Center: flu and COVID.
• 11 a.m. Oct. 14, Dayville School parking lot: flu, school-required and COVID.
• 11 a.m. Oct. 21, Long Creek School parking lot: flu, school-required and COVID.
A clinic will be scheduled in Seneca at a time and location to be determined.
