- Grant County Health Department clinic manager Jessica Winegar prepares to administer a COVID-19 test Nov.5 during the health department's curbside testing at the fairgrounds.
Grant County’s Health Department, Community Health Improvement Coalition, and Strawberry Wilderness Clinic will send out COVID-19 home testing kits later this week.
Kimberly Lindsay, the county’s health administrator, said in a Friday, Jan.27 press release that 450 boxes would be available at no cost to residents in Monument, Prairie City, Seneca, Dayville, and Long Creek.
The exact number each city would receive would be announced this week, according to Lindsay. Meanwhile, she said folks in John Day and Mt. Vernon can call 541-575-1487 to schedule a time to pick up their tests.
The location, she said, would also be announced later this week.
Lindsay said one box, which includes two testing kits, would go to four-person households, while households with five or more would receive two boxes, with a two-box limit per household.
Those with questions can email vaccine@ccsemail.org or call the number above, Lindsay said.
